General booking

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. When booking, confirmation is required by payment of a non-refundable deposit of £50 per reservation.

2. When you make a booking online, a confirmation email will be sent to you using the email address you have provided. On receipt please check the details on your confirmation carefully and retain a copy for your future reference. If any details are incomplete or incorrect please contact the Hotel immediately.

3. When making a booking online you will be transferred to a secure (SSL) server in order to provide your credit/debit card details.

4. Guests have full use of the leisure facilities including heated indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sanarium, steam room and gym. The exercise studio, classes, tennis court and Health & Beauty are also available, although their use will incur extra charges. (It is advisable to make reservations for the Health & Beauty Salon in advance to avoid disappointment).

5. Due to the limited number of different types of accommodation, no specific room can be guaranteed and we reserve the right to re-allocate accommodation, although we always do our best to meet your requirements.

6. Please note that the Langdale Hotel & Country Club is a village-style hotel, with most bedrooms situated a short walk from the main Hotel complex.

7. We aim to have your room available by 3.00 pm on the day of arrival, but if you arrive earlier you are welcome to use the Club facilities. You are requested to vacate your room by 10.30 am on the day of departure. There will be a charge for any guests vacating their rooms after this time. Should storage be required for luggage, please contact Reception and a facility will be provided wherever possible.

8. No pets are allowed in the Hotel or on the Estate at any time (with the exception of assistance dogs).

9. Smoking is not permitted in any enclosed area across the Estate.

10. Our cancellation policy for any booking of up to three rooms is 24 hours prior to 4.00 pm on your scheduled day of arrival. On all confirmed bookings cancelled outside the specified cancellation period, your credit or debit card will be charged a cancellation charge, equivalent to the total cost of the first night’s booking value less the £50 deposit. (If we manage to re-sell your accommodation, no cancellation charge will be made).

11. You can cancel a booking made via our website using the link in your email confirmation. Providing that your cancellation complies with the Hotel Cancellation Policy you will receive an email back confirming the cancellation.

12. Payment of your final invoice should be made upon departure, at which point your credit or debit card details will be destroyed. If for any reason payment is not made at this time, we will forward our invoice to you for payment within 14 days. We do, however, reserve the right to deduct any outstanding charges from your credit or debit card.

13. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. We reserve the right to alter prices without prior notice.

14. We regret that we are unable to offer a baby-listening service.

15. Under the terms of the Hotel Proprietors Act, may we point out to you that the Hotel and its staff cannot be held responsible for items left in Hotel bedrooms. Any goods of particularly high value should be deposited with reception and a receipt obtained.

16. To use the Club facilities children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.

17. The Langdale Estate is situated in an officially-designated area of outstanding natural beauty within a National Park. In view of this, may we ask for your assistance in keeping the area clean and tidy and to help us preserve valuable commodities such as energy and water.

18. By confirming your booking by paying a deposit, you are agreeing to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
